“Brusnika Market” Store on Lenina Avenue to be Replaced by “ZhiznMart”

“Brusnika Market” closed its location at 41 Lenina Avenue in Yekaterinburg in early spring and will be replaced by “ZhiznMart.” Banners indicating the upcoming opening of “ZhiznMart” have been placed on the windows of the closed store.

The closure marks the end of approximately eight years of operation for “Brusnika Market” at this location, which originally opened in 2017. The company has not yet addressed the reasons for the closure.

This is not the first “Brusnika Market” location to close recently. In July 2024, another store at 5 Lenina Avenue was shut down. At the time, the company cited a “redesign” strategy, involving the closure of underperforming stores and the opening of new ones. A “Monetka” store later opened in its place.

Currently, there are 19 “Brusnika Market” locations open in Yekaterinburg, while “ZhiznMart” operates around 200 stores.

“Brusnika Market” is a chain of minimarkets primarily located in business centers, offering groceries, ready-made lunches, and pastries. The stores operate under the legal entities “Green Market” and “Gastronom.”

In 2024, “Green Market” experienced a 14% decrease in revenue, reaching 60.4 million rubles, with a net profit of 14 thousand rubles. Conversely, “Gastronom” saw a 22% increase in revenue to 107.2 million rubles, but incurred a loss of 2.4 million rubles.
