A bombing damaged a railway line in the south of the Voronezh region on June 5th, prompting a criminal investigation into potential terrorism.

The incident caused the delay of 26 trains, including those traveling from St. Petersburg.

Thanks to the quick thinking of the train crew and driver, who immediately engaged emergency braking, no casualties were reported.

According to initial reports, the driver of a train noticed minor damage to the track earlier in the morning, leading to the halting of several trains. The incident occurred on the railway tracks between Evdakovo and Saguny, specifically at the 725 km mark.

An emergency recovery team is currently working on-site to repair the damage. The regional head is overseeing the recovery efforts.
