A blind and deaf cat named Belyash is in need of a loving home after being abandoned in an apartment in Novosibirsk. Volunteers are working to find a suitable owner for the affectionate feline.
Belyash was discovered in a weakened and emaciated state, suffering from severe dehydration. He also had intracranial pressure and bladder stones. Due to the intracranial pressure, Belyash experienced significant pain and a gradual loss of sight, accompanied by clouding of consciousness.
In 2023, surgery was performed to remove Belyash’s eyes, as his sight could not be saved. He also underwent a procedure to remove bladder stones.
Currently residing in temporary mass housing, Belyash is described by volunteers as incredibly affectionate and patient. He demonstrates the ability to navigate his surroundings using his memory and sense of smell, and can independently locate his litter box.
Belyash now requires specialized and expensive urinary therapeutic food. The volunteers hope to find him a kind and caring owner to provide him with the support and love he needs.
