A column of black smoke was observed rising over the southern part of St. Petersburg on June 2nd. The location of the fire is presumed to be in the area of Kudrovo or Zanevka.
Residents in the Nevsky district have reported that flames are visible from their balconies.
Fontanka has contacted the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Leningrad Region to inquire about the situation.
As of the time of this report, the exact source of the smoke remains unclear.
