The Novosibirsk region anticipates opening 23 beaches for the 2025 season, with the possibility of these opening within the next two weeks. Currently, two beaches are already operational at recreation centers.
The swimming season is considered to have begun on June 1st, although no public beaches are fully open at this time. The opening of beaches is contingent on weather conditions and water quality test results. Water temperatures in the region range from +11 to +22 degrees Celsius, with closed bodies of water warming up more quickly.
To ensure safety, 76 rescue posts will be established during the swimming season, including 12 in water areas. The number of patrols has been doubled since the start of summer.
In addition to the official beaches, 471 unregistered recreation spots have been identified across the region. Aerial monitoring will be conducted to locate solitary bathers and prevent violations.
Tragically, a 14-year-old teenager recently drowned near Arena Park.
