Sayuri, the four-month-old Japanese macaque at the Leningrad Zoo, is displaying her independent spirit, frequently venturing away from her mother. The zoo shared playful footage of the young monkey’s antics on its Telegram channel on September 15.
The energetic Sayuri often seeks out her older brothers, Saburo and Akira, to explore their enclosure together. She sometimes even snatches treats from them, but they tolerate her playful behavior.
Sayuri was born on May 15th.
