Awards Presented at the Transbaikalia International Film Festival and Other News

Eighteen residents of Russia each won one million rubles in Sunday’s “Metallion” lottery, according to the “National Lottery” press service. Additionally, a male nurse in Moscow is suspected of assaulting a 16-year-old during an ECG procedure. The twelfth Transbaikalia International Film Festival concluded with an awards ceremony in Chita, Zabaykalsky Krai.

The film “Forest King” (18+), directed by Goran Radovanovic, won “Best Film” at the festival. The Serbian-Bulgarian film depicts the events of 1999 when NATO bombed Yugoslavia and a mother takes her son to safety.

Raul Kove from Abkhazia won “Best Actor” for his role in “The Last Price” (18+). The film tells the story of a Russian family in war-torn Abkhazia growing hazelnuts and facing a gang of thieves.

Marisel Alvarez from Spain was awarded “Best Actress” for her role in “Surface” (16+). The Argentinian-Spanish film, directed by Cecilia Atan and Valeria Pivato, portrays a mother’s struggle with her son’s return from prison.

In lottery news, the “National Lottery” announced that a total of 181,428 tickets won in the draw, totaling 37,706,880 rubles.

In Moscow, a male nurse from a private clinic has been arrested on suspicion of raping a 16-year-old who was at the clinic to obtain a medical book. According to reports, the incident occurred during an ECG procedure, prompting the teenager’s mother and clinic administrator to intervene and call the police.
