AVTOVAZ plans to decrease its production volume for 2025 to 367,200 vehicles due to an anticipated 20-25% drop in sales. This adjustment, announced by the company’s head Maxim Sokolov on June 18, comes in response to a projected market decline.
The expected market downturn is estimated at 30-35%, but AVTOVAZ anticipates a slightly smaller reduction in its own production. Sokolov highlighted that the demand for Lada vehicles is decreasing at a slower pace than the overall market average.
Earlier, AVTOVAZ showcased the new Lada Azimut crossover at the SPIEF, with production slated to begin in 2026. The XXVIII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, running from June 18–21, 2025, focuses on “Common Values as the Basis for Growth in a Multipolar World.” The plenary session with Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled for June 20.
