A criminal case has been opened following an attack on a 14-year-old boy distributing leaflets in an apartment building in Shushary. The incident, which occurred on Pervomayskaya Street, resulted in the teenager being hospitalized with a head contusion.
Police were called to the scene on June 2nd, where they found the injured boy, a concierge, and several residents. The altercation reportedly began after a conflict between the boy and the concierge. Residents joined the argument, and one man allegedly struck the teenager on the head.
Footage of the incident shows the boy screaming for help as a man confronts him after being told the boy had “beat” and “raised his hand” against the concierge. Sounds of thuds, slaps, and profanity can be heard in the video.
The teenager’s condition is assessed as moderately severe. The man who allegedly attacked him was taken to the police station.
Alexander Bastrykin, the head of the Investigative Committee, has requested a report on the investigation. Both the Investigative Committee and the Ministry of Internal Affairs are conducting an investigation into the incident. The case is being investigated as hooliganism.
