A man in the Vyborgsky district of St. Petersburg was apprehended by police after brandishing a hunting rifle to prevent gas workers from disconnecting his gas supply due to unpaid debt. The incident occurred on the morning of June 6 on Lomonosov Street in Pargolovo.

Gas workers arrived at the residence to disconnect the gas supply of a debtor who had accumulated 400,000 rubles in debt. The homeowner responded by driving his Daewoo out of the garage, retrieving a hunting rifle, reloading it, and standing with it in front of his fence.

The man declared that he believed his property was in immediate danger. When warned against displaying and reloading the weapon, an argument ensued regarding the boundaries of his property, specifically whether it began inside or outside the fence. Law enforcement was subsequently called to the scene.

Police officers handcuffed the man and escorted him to their vehicle. Video footage indicates that he did not resist arrest.
