A planning project has been approved for the construction of a large pedestrian crossing in Murino over the Ring Road and railway tracks, stretching a total of 700 meters. This decision was made at a working meeting of the city government.
The crossing will consist of two overpasses over the rails and the Ring Road, connected by a pedestrian path.
According to Smolny, the crossing will provide convenient access to the Novaya Okhta railway platform (formerly Murino) from the T-shaped intersection of Marshak Avenue and Daniil Kharms Street.
The pedestrian crossing will also need to cross another railway line, namely the access roads of GUP “TEK”. The Ring Road will be crossed in one span with an under-bridge clearance of 7 meters. In the case of the railway, towers with brutal architecture will be built on both sides, connected by a glazed span.
The planning project was completed in March, with an estimated capacity of 13,300 people per day.
