The apartment, offered unfurnished, has a price of 388,889 rubles per square meter and boasts 3.7-meter high ceilings. According to the advertisement, this is the first time the apartment has been offered for sale in 150 years. It also suggests that potential buyers might discover hidden “treasures” during renovation work.
Levkiy Zeverzeev, born in Tsarskoye Selo in 1881, began his collection of books and manuscripts at the age of 16, focusing primarily on Russian literature and literary history. He tragically died of starvation in besieged Leningrad on January 16, 1942, while at his workplace in the museum. Zeverzeev’s daughter is Tamara Zeverzeeva, a former ballerina and actress.
