Anastasia Bezrukova, who rose to fame as a child model and was once dubbed “the girl with the face of an angel,” continues her modeling career, having recently been the face of Marie Claire’s spring-summer collection in 2023. Now 21 years old, she signed a contract with Avant Models after graduating from school and continues to appear in advertising.
Bezrukova’s initial rise to prominence coincided with that of Kristina Pimenova, another Russian model. The European press often compared the two, calling them both the most beautiful girls in the world after they were filmed together in 2016. In the same year, speculation arose regarding a possible connection to actor Sergei Bezrukov, fueled by their shared surname and Anastasia’s portrayal of his daughter in the film “After You.” However, they are only namesakes. She also played the daughter of Sergei Bezrukov in the film “Milky Way”.
She entered the fashion world at the age of eight after being photographed by Zhanna Romashka, a fashion photographer, at a talent contest where she participated with the dance group “Vesnushki.” Initially, her family was skeptical. However, after Svetlana, Anastasia’s mother, published photos on a website for child models, Anastasia’s career began to take off.
Just a month later, Anastasia was photographed by Daniele Federici, who had previously worked with celebrities such as Kylie Minogue and Catherine Zeta-Jones. She captured the attention of European agents, leading to numerous offers from global brands. In 2012, she became the first Russian girl to appear on the cover of Vogue Bambini and subsequently appeared on the covers of fashion publications, including Collezioni, Yes!, Kenguru, Dolores, Daisy, Mamas & Papas, and Harper’s Bazaar.
Bezrukova’s family had no connection to show business. Growing up in Moscow, she participated in games, clubs, and school. After graduating, she signed with Avant Models, changed her image, and was inspired by Cara Delevingne. Despite considering modeling a hobby, it has now become her main occupation.
