Amirkhan Yusupov, a militant wanted on federal charges for over two years, has been detained in Chechnya. He is accused of attempted murder and a series of raider seizures targeting parking lots and business centers, including the “Manhattan” complex.
The detention involved FSB officers and SOBR fighters. Yusupov has been implicated in multiple criminal incidents in the Urals region. He is now in pre-trial detention.
Yusupov faces charges related to the attempted murder of two or more individuals as part of an organized crime group. The case is allegedly linked to a conflict with Marcel Gasanov, an “overseer” of the Sverdlovsk region who is also currently on trial.
Chechen athletes allegedly attempted to seize the Manhattan business center due to this conflict. In November 2022, a group of armed individuals attacked the business center’s security guards, injuring two. The attackers, described as being of Caucasian appearance, used shotguns and traumatic pistols.
Following the attack, Amirkhan Yusupov and another individual, Umar, were placed on the wanted list.
