Aleksey Sutormin has officially departed from Zenit St. Petersburg, the club announced.
Zenit expressed their gratitude to the midfielder for his contributions during his time with the team and extended their best wishes for his future endeavors. Sutormin, an alumnus of the Gazprom Academy, rejoined Zenit in the summer of 2019.
During his six seasons with Zenit, Sutormin participated in 127 matches, scoring 13 goals and providing 10 assists. He played a role in the team’s success, securing four Russian Premier League titles, one Russian Cup victory, and four Russian Super Cup wins.
In the 2023/24 season, Sutormin was loaned out, first to Sochi and subsequently to Rostov. While with Rostov, he made 32 appearances, scored 2 goals, and contributed to the team’s advancement to the final of the Russian Cup.
