By the end of 2025, the addresses of bomb shelters will be available on the “Gosuslugi” (Government Services Portal) in all regions of Russia. This initiative aims to provide citizens with easily accessible information about shelter locations during emergencies.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations is implementing this plan, with Deputy Director Sergei Starovoitov announcing the development. The proposal has been reviewed and discussed within the Public Chamber.
Citizens will be able to access their personal accounts on “Gosuslugi” and find a designated tab that reveals their assigned shelter. This will inform them where to seek refuge in case of an emergency situation.
In addition to shelter locations, information regarding evacuation points will also be accessible on “Gosuslugi”. This will guide people to the designated assembly areas upon the announcement of an evacuation.
The system has already undergone testing in the Kursk and Belgorod regions. The goal is to potentially expand the program nationwide by the close of the current year.
In related news, Russia has previously announced the development of a domestic messenger. This messenger is intended to provide access to both state and financial services through a digital assistant.
