An additional 514 places for children will be opened in schools located in the Akademichesky district. This expansion aims to address the growing demand for school placements in the area.

The new places will be created within existing classrooms and furniture is being actively purchased to accommodate the schoolchildren. The developer “RSG-Akademicheskoe” is handling the purchase of furniture and most of it has already been delivered to schools, according to Viktor Maslakov, a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Sverdlovsk Region.

The schools that will be opening additional places are:

• School No. 133 – 204 places
• School No. 23 – 182 places
• School No. 25 – 64 places
• School No. 123 – 64 places

The Akademichesky district enrolls the largest number of first-graders every year, with a 1st “O” class opening in 2024. Enrollment in educational institutions is a known issue, with the Solnechny microdistrict experiencing a shortage of places for first-graders, even for children with registration.
