A nine-year-old girl was injured after being struck by a car in her yard on Kosygina Avenue in St. Petersburg on June 4th. The incident occurred at 6:35 PM near house number 25.
The girl, a local student, was crossing the roadway when she was hit by a Haval Jolion driven by a 46-year-old man.
The child was initially hospitalized in moderately severe condition. Following medical treatment, she was later released home and is now in satisfactory condition.
The driver, a resident of the Leningrad Region with over 25 years of driving experience, had one speeding ticket on record. Authorities remind drivers to exercise increased caution on the roads, especially with children on summer vacation.
