A motorcyclist in St. Petersburg is fighting for his life after being run over twice by a Rolls-Royce. The incident occurred on Peterhofskoye Highway near the Zhemchuzhnaya Plaza shopping mall on May 31.

The driver of the Rolls-Royce, identified as 37-year-old Sergei, was making an illegal U-turn across a double solid line when he struck the biker. Eyewitnesses reported that the car ran over the victim twice.

Sergei, who received his driver’s license in 2024, has accumulated 41 traffic tickets, two of which remain unpaid. He is reportedly a businessman involved in repair work, real estate, and tobacco production, and was awarded a presidential certificate in 2023 for participating in socially significant events.

Witnesses claim that after the accident, Sergei attempted to hide the car’s license plates. The Rolls-Royce is a 2020 model, valued between 35 and 50 million rubles.

The injured motorcyclist, 35-year-old Mavlet, is a member of the Dagestan motorcycle club. He has been hospitalized with severe injuries. He also has a record of traffic violations, having been fined 13 times in the past two years.

The police are currently investigating the incident.
