Authorities are seeking a new family for a boy and his two sisters who suffered severe abuse at the hands of their stepfather in the Moscow region. The primary requirement is that the children not be separated. The boy, who was brutally beaten, has been discharged from the hospital and is currently in a family center with his sisters.
The stepfather, 31, systematically abused the 11-year-old boy in the village of Drozhzhino. Video footage revealed the man striking the child with a bat, causing serious physical and psychological trauma. The mother is accused of failing to protect her son, and both parents are facing criminal charges.
The grandmother of the children, residing in the Krasnodar Territory, has expressed her desire to take them in. However, guardianship authorities are carefully evaluating potential families to ensure the children’s safety and well-being. The priority is to find a family that can provide a loving and stable environment for all three siblings.
The abuse included starvation, burns, and other forms of torture inflicted by both the stepfather and the mother. Neighbors reported the stepfather forcing the children to commit vandalism, such as puncturing car tires. The systematic abuse was also confirmed by the children’s ombudsman.
The stepfather has been arrested and faces up to 22 years in prison for torture and attempted murder. The mother is charged with failure to fulfill her parental duties and faces up to three years imprisonment. Both are under investigation and will face legal consequences for their actions.
