A welder who worked at the Perspektiva plant in Novosibirsk is suspected of murdering a security guard during a robbery. The incident occurred on the night of June 2, and the suspect had been employed at the plant for a year.

The welder, along with another individual, allegedly broke into the plant and fatally stabbed the security guard. They are also accused of stealing construction tools and equipment valued at one million rubles.

One of the suspects, a 34-year-old welder, has confessed to the murder. Investigative authorities have initiated a criminal case, and further details regarding the detainees are being investigated.

Employees of the Perspektiva plant expressed shock and disbelief at the welder’s alleged involvement. According to one employee, the suspect was considered a dedicated worker who often came in on weekends to earn extra money and did not show signs of alcohol abuse.

A security guard from a neighboring enterprise reported closing at midnight on the night of the incident and hearing nothing unusual. Employees from another nearby company noticed police presence but had limited information due to their evening closing hours.

The investigation into the murder and robbery is ongoing, with authorities pursuing charges under Article 105 (murder) and Article 162 (robbery) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
