Galina Manuilova is on trial in Yekaterinburg for attacking elderly people after posing as a social worker. She would tie them up and use pepper spray to rob them.

In 2019, Manuilova and an accomplice robbed a 99-year-old pensioner after tying her up with a scarf. The same year, she targeted a 70-year-old couple by falsely informing them about a monetary reform.

After discovering the location of their savings, she attacked them with pepper spray and stole nearly 600,000 rubles. She gained access to her victims by posing as a social worker.

In 2020, Manuilova stole 160,000 rubles in funeral funds from a 93-year-old veteran. She was apprehended in the Chelyabinsk region after a lengthy period in hiding.

Manuilova spent the stolen money on luxury items like jewelry and gold. Her accomplice is currently at large.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs for Yekaterinburg stated that Manuilova’s criminal case was investigated under Part 2 of Article 161 and Part 3 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, concerning robbery and theft on a large scale. She is currently in custody, and the case has been sent to court.
