Traffic Restrictions Planned in St. Petersburg Across Twelve Districts

Significant traffic changes are coming to St. Petersburg in late June as work commences on communications, road repairs, and the installation of temporary barriers across 12 districts. These restrictions will affect several major highways and avenues, potentially causing disruptions for commuters and residents.

The State Administrative and Technical Inspection of St. Petersburg announced the planned restrictions, which will impact key thoroughfares like Pulkovskoye and Vyborgskoye highways, as well as Engelsa and Prosveshcheniya avenues. Additionally, Malookhtinsky and Vitebsky avenues will experience changes in traffic patterns.

Specific areas and timeframes for the restrictions include:

  • Vasileostrovsky District: June 22 to July 19, Universitetskaya Embankment will face restrictions due to water pipeline work.

  • Vyborgsky District: From June 24 to July 22, Vyborgskoye Highway will be affected, and Engelsa Avenue will be restricted from June 24 to July 29 for tram track repairs.

  • Kalinin District: Prosveshcheniya Avenue will have restrictions at the intersection with Bryantseva Street from June 23 to July 6. Bryantseva Street will experience restrictions until October 15.

  • Krasnogvardeisky District: Malookhtinsky Prospekt will be affected from June 22 to July 16, and the intersection of Zanevsky Prospekt and Energetikov Avenue will have restrictions from June 23 to June 28.

  • Kronshtadtsky District: Zosimova Street in Kronstadt will face road surface repair closures from June 23 to 24. Restrictions are also in place until July 6 on Zosimova Street.

  • Kurortny District: Kommunarov Street near Morskaya Street in Sestroretsk will be restricted at night from June 22 to 25. Tarkhovsky Lane will be closed from June 22 to 23.

  • Moskovsky District: Pulkovskoye Highway will be restricted from June 23, 2025, to January 31, 2026, due to temporary barriers.

  • Petrodvortsovy District: Krasnogo Flota Street in Lomonosov will be restricted from June 23 to July 5 for road repairs.

  • Primorsky District: Polevaya Sabirovskaya Street will be restricted from June 24 to July 7.

  • Pushkinsky District: Vitebsky Prospekt in Shushary will be restricted from June 23 to July 18, and Peterburgskoye Highway in Pushkin will be affected from June 24 to September 12.

  • Frunzensky District: Kupchinskaya Street will be closed from June 24 to 28. Rasstannaya Street will be restricted from June 23 to 30, and Tambovskaya Street will be closed from June 24 to 25.

  • Central District: Bakunina Avenue will be restricted from June 23 to July 6, and Borovoy Bridge will have night restrictions from June 24 to July 7.
