A fire that engulfed a metal hangar at the “Kolesnik” production enterprise in Krasnogorsk has been successfully extinguished. The Ministry of Emergency Situations confirmed the completion of firefighting operations on June 1.
The blaze, which started on the evening of May 31, rapidly spread across the enterprise’s territory. Initially estimated at 900 square meters, the fire area expanded to 4,000 square meters, affecting a hangar, outbuildings, and rubber crumb materials.
The Kolesnik enterprise is situated near the Novorizhskoe highway, in close proximity to a Ministry of Defense hospital. Thick black smoke billowed from the scene, becoming visible from nearby villages along the Moscow Ring Road and even reaching some districts of Moscow.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported as a result of the fire. A total of 13 pieces of equipment and 45 firefighters were deployed to combat the blaze. Authorities confirmed that there was no risk of the fire spreading to adjacent buildings.
