A drone attack has targeted a military unit in the village of Sredny, Usolsky district, marking the first such incident recorded in Siberia. Igor Kobzev, the Governor of the Irkutsk Region, announced the attack on June 1st.

The target was a military unit near the village of Sredny. According to Kobzev, one drop occurred on an old building located in Novomaltinsk.

Authorities have responded to the scene. Personnel from the FSB, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and the National Guard are currently working at the site. An operational headquarters has been deployed to manage the situation.

Governor Kobzev has traveled to the affected area. He also stated that the source of the drone launch has been identified and “already blocked.”

Earlier reports indicated a separate drone attack in the Ryazan region, where the roof of a residential building sustained damage.
