Pensioners in Russia will see a series of increases to their payments in the coming months, with changes affecting different groups at different times. The next widespread indexation is scheduled for August, impacting working pensioners.
In June, specific categories of citizens will experience pension increases. The most substantial boost will go to those who turned 80 in May; their fixed insurance pension component will double, resulting in an additional 8,907.70 rubles. Furthermore, families caring for pensioners over 80 can receive an extra 1,314 rubles.
A similar increase of approximately 9,000 rubles will be granted to individuals who were assigned a first disability group in May. Both these groups, and other pensioners, are eligible for additional payments for minor dependents; 2,969.23 rubles will be added for each dependent, up to a maximum of three.
These individual pension increases occur monthly. Pensioners who turned 80 in June or were assigned a disability in June can anticipate similar increases in July.
August will bring a more extensive pension increase, as payments for working pensioners will be indexed based on pension points accrued in 2024. The individual pension coefficient (IPK), or points, is a metric used to determine pension amounts, awarded for each year of work or other activity considered when calculating the pension.
Working pensioners can accumulate a maximum of three IPKs per year; with each point valued at 145.69 rubles in 2025, their pensions could increase by up to 437.07 rubles. This recalculation will occur automatically.
Additional pension increases are expected throughout 2025.
