Traffic Pattern Changes in St. Petersburg Due to Road Works

Significant traffic alterations are set to occur in four districts of St. Petersburg starting June 20 due to road works and temporary fencing, according to an announcement from the State Administrative and Technical Inspection (GATI) on June 18.

In the Vasileostrovsky District, restrictions will be in place on Maly Prospekt V.O., between the 10th/11th lines V.O. and the 12th/13th lines V.O., until September 16. This narrowing of the road is to accommodate temporary fencing.

The Vyborgsky District will experience a full closure on Yesenin Street, from Prospekt Prosveshcheniya to Prospekt Lunacharskogo, including the intersection with Poetichesky Boulevard, from June 20 to 22. This closure is for road surface repairs, with suggested detours along Lunacharskogo, Engelsa, Prosveshcheniya, Khudozhnikov avenues, along Poetichesky Boulevard, and Ivan Fomin Street.

In the Petrogradsky District, restrictions will remain in effect until October 1 due to the placement of temporary fences along Krasnogo Kursanta lane (from Krasnogo Kursanta street to Malaya Grebetskaya street), Malaya Grebetskaya street (from Krasnogo Kursanta lane to Muzykantsky lane), and Muzykantsky lane (from Malaya Grebetskaya street to Krasnogo Kursanta street).

The Frunzensky District will face restrictions until November 6 due to temporary fences on Bela Kuna Street, from Sofiyskaya Street to Tsimbalina Street, including the “pocket” along house 25, building A, on Bela Kuna Street. Concurrently, the intersection of Sofiyskaya and Bela Kuna will be closed in the direction from Sofiyskaya to Tsimbalina Street. Furthermore, Salova Street will be restricted from Samoilova Street to the railway overpass until July 19 for gas pipeline construction.
