Four young men, born between 2001 and 2005, were rescued from an island in the Ob Sea near Novosibirsk after becoming stranded. The incident occurred when the group swam from Bugrinsky Beach to the island but were unable to swim back against the strong current.
The MACC rescuers were alerted and promptly responded to the situation.
The rescuers successfully transported the individuals back to the shore. A preventive conversation was held with the rescued individuals regarding water safety.
This incident follows a previous event where a Novosibirsk resident became stranded on Tyan-Van Island in the Ob Sea after their boat was swept away by the current.
