The Moscow Region Arbitration Court has ruled to transfer ownership of Domodedovo Airport to the state. The decision, made on June 17, fully satisfies a claim by the Prosecutor General’s Office.

The Prosecutor General’s Office initially filed a lawsuit on January 28, 2025, against the airport’s owners, billionaire Dmitry Kamenshchik and Valery Kogan, along with approximately 30 associated legal entities. The lawsuit sought the seizure of shares held by Kamenshchik and Kogan, security of all property, and a prohibition on withdrawing assets from Russia.

The Prosecutor General’s Office argued that the owners violated the law prohibiting foreign residents from owning strategic objects, alleging that Kamenshchik held citizenships in Turkey and the UAE, while Kogan held Israeli citizenship.

The court hearing was held in a closed session. Information regarding many recent meetings has not been disclosed in court documents.

Domodedovo Airport’s press service has stated that the airport is operating as usual.
