Alexander Leshchev, a blogger from Krasnoturyinsk, is facing public criticism after posting videos showing his 7-year-old daughter in potentially unsafe situations while driving. The videos have sparked outrage among residents and subscribers, who accuse him of negligence and exploiting his wife’s death for donations.
The footage shows the child sitting in the front seat of a convertible without a child seat, with the seatbelt fastened around her legs instead of properly securing her. The blogger is also seen filming a front-facing video while driving, allegedly not paying attention to the road.
Critics point out that Leshchev’s wife died in a car accident involving a bus on the Serov highway, making his apparent disregard for his daughter’s safety even more alarming. “There is no mind, he lost his wife in a car accident, now he puts the child in the front. Any braking, not to mention a collision, and the girl will fly head first. What kind of father is this?” one resident questioned.
Subscribers also claim that Leshchev regularly posts these videos, alternating them with recordings from his wife’s grave, while simultaneously soliciting donations and allegedly exploiting the tragedy of his wife’s death, which occurred two years ago.
This is not the first time Leshchev has faced criticism. Previously, he was condemned for smoking a hookah with his young child.
Leshchev’s wife died in an accident on the 318th kilometer of the Serov highway when a bus driver, while overtaking a column of trucks, crashed into one of them. In total, three people died and five were injured in the accident. Leshchev blames the bus driver for his wife’s death and is seeking justice against the transport company.
