Major traffic congestion has been reported in Novosibirsk due to road closures on Parkhomenko and Plakhotnogo streets. These closures are necessary for the Siberian Generating Company (SGC) to replace sections of the heating network in the Leninsky district.

SGC announced the commencement of these replacements on May 23rd, specifying that two sections of main heating networks with a diameter of 700 mm are being replaced. The section on Parkhomenko Street spans 567 meters, while the section on Plakhotnogo Street (3rd Permsky Lane) measures 204 meters.

The current phase of work necessitates road closures, with an estimated completion date of July 15 for this stage. Subsequent stages will involve closures on the continuation of Parkhomenko Street and its intersection with Permskaya Street.

The section on 3rd Permsky Lane was closed on May 26. According to the company’s Telegram channel, the contractor is scheduled to complete the work by August 30.

The contractor aims to finalize the work on Parkhomenko Street by September 15, according to the company’s Telegram channel.

Additionally, a traffic jam has been forming on Sibiryakov-Gvardeytsev Street for several days due to SGC repairs that are expected to last over a month.
