A Moscow lawyer has been arrested and charged with the murder of his client, as well as fraud and concealment of a serious crime. Sergey Zuev, 48, is accused of fatally stabbing 61-year-old Andrey Tereshkin during a dispute over a real estate transaction in the Solnechnogorsk district of the Moscow region in 2024.

Investigators allege that Zuev stabbed Tereshkin at least three times in the heart during an argument regarding the sale of property. Tereshkin died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

Following the murder, Zuev and an accomplice allegedly transported the body to Zuev’s farm, where they burned it. Zuev, along with another acquaintance, is also accused of selling Tereshkin’s house and two cars for five million rubles.

Zuev and his accomplices have been detained and placed in pre-trial detention. Criminal cases have been initiated against them for murder, fraud, and concealment of a particularly serious crime.

According to open sources, Zuev was previously a member of the Voronezh Bar Association and a graduate of the Moscow University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, having served in various positions in police units.
