The “Sportivnaya” metro station in Novosibirsk is now slated to open in 2025 to coincide with the start of the hockey season. Novosibirsk Mayor Maxim Kudryavtsev announced this target date during an on-site meeting held on June 17.

The mayor has tasked the contractor with achieving full construction readiness by September 1. This timeline is designed to allow sufficient time for completing the necessary documentation and preparations before the station begins serving the public.

Currently, approximately 40 workers are on-site. The company “Aquatechnology” is in charge of the construction work being performed at the station.
