A survey of the floating fountain near the “Gordskoe Nachalo” park in Novosibirsk has revealed that significant investments are needed to restore the disrepaired facility, according to Evgeny Salin, director of “Gorfontan”. The fountain has been out of operation since 2019.

The survey, conducted by individual entrepreneur Vladislav Salamatin, assessed the condition of the fountain’s three sections, including supporting structures, engineering equipment, engines, pumps, pipelines, and control systems. Salamatin stated that the examination has been completed and the results have been submitted to MKU “Gorfontan”.

The Department of Road and Improvement Complex of the Novosibirsk City Hall will decide on the future of the facility, according to the mayor’s office. The survey indicated that the fountain is in a state of disrepair and should not be used in its current condition, says Salin.

The fountain, according to documentation, was released in 2003.
