The number of individuals injured in the drone attack in Tatarstan has risen to 16, including three children and 13 adults. This was reported by RIA Novosti on June 16, citing a representative of the emergency services.
Following the attack, seven people remain hospitalized, according to 116.RU, referencing the Ministry of Health of the Republic. Two adults are in moderate condition at the Yelabuga Central District Hospital, while two others are at the Naberezhnye Chelny Emergency Hospital; their condition is considered stable.
Three children are being treated at the Kama Children’s Medical Center in Naberezhnye Chelny; their conditions are described as stable to moderate, and their lives are not in danger.
The incident occurred on Sunday, June 15, when drone fragments fell on the checkpoint building of an automobile plant in the Yelabuga region during the repulsion of the attack. Initially, 13 injuries were reported, but it was later confirmed that one worker died as a result of the attack.
A criminal case has been initiated on the grounds of a terrorist act.
During the incident, a “drone danger” regime was in effect in the republic. The airports of Kazan and Nizhnekamsk (Begishevo) temporarily suspended accepting aircraft, leading to delays in numerous flights. Residents also reported disruptions in mobile internet services. Authorities clarified that these restrictions were temporary measures implemented to ensure public safety.
