Heavy trucks will be banned from key highways in St. Petersburg during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) from June 18 to June 22. The restrictions aim to ease traffic congestion during the major international event.
Specifically, trucks weighing over 3.5 tons will be prohibited from traveling on the Western High-Speed Diameter (ZSD) section from the Yekaterinhofka Embankment to the southern interchange with the Ring Road (KAD). All exits on this section of the ZSD will also be affected.
Additionally, from June 18 to June 21, heavy trucks will not be permitted on the following roads:
- The KAD section between the Ropshinskoe Highway and Sofiyskaya Street.
- Pulkovskoe Highway from Krasnoselskoe Highway to Dunaysky Prospekt.
- St. Petersburg Highway from Pulkovskoe Highway to Kuzminskoe Highway.
- Vitebsky Prospekt from Moscow Highway to St. Petersburg Highway.
Rest areas for drivers will be closed on the specified section of the KAD during these days. Access to gas stations will remain open. Sections of Startovaya, Domodedovskaya and Vnukovskaya streets are closed until June 22, and the roadway is narrowed on multiple streets.
