Popular rapper Icegergert has recorded a video message of support for 18-year-old hockey player Artem Mitkin, who remains in serious condition following a car accident. The young athlete, a member of the “Avto” youth team, was critically injured on June 8th.

Mitkin’s sister, Daria, requested the video from Icegergert, hoping to encourage her brother. Artem was looking forward to attending Icegergert’s concert in Yekaterinburg on June 12th, but remains in a medically induced coma.

In the video, Icegergert addresses Artem directly, saying, “Yo, greetings, Mityai! This is Icegergert. They say you’re in a coma. Come on, wake up soon, stop lying in a coma. Come to your senses, I’m waiting for you at the next concert. A real man must get out of this coma, hear my voice and definitely appear at the nearest concert, wherever you can. Get well!”

Daria reported that her brother’s condition is unchanged and remains critical. “Everything is the same, temperature 38–39 degrees, he has not regained consciousness. Eight days of hell already. No help is needed, because only he can get out of this state himself. Even money won’t help,” she stated.

The accident occurred on the Yekaterinburg Ring Road (YEKAD) when Artem, without a driver’s license, took his sister’s car. He was driving with his 17-year-old girlfriend, Sonya, and another hockey player, Makar, after they had been drinking outside the city.

While driving at high speed, Artem lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a median barrier, causing the car to overturn. Sonya and Makar sustained minor injuries, but Artem suffered severe injuries.
