Alexander Shikolai, the vocalist of the internationally renowned deathcore band Slaughter to Prevail, has been detained in the Moscow region. The circumstances surrounding his detention remain unclear.

According to reports, the detention occurred while the band was filming a music video. Police officers arrived at the filming location and detained several individuals, including Shikolai.

Fans present at the scene have indicated that drummer Evgeny Novikov was also among those detained. Fans who were working as extras during the filming were also held for approximately six hours before being released after a document check.

The reason for Shikolai’s detention is currently unknown.

Shikolai, originally from the Sverdlovsk region, rose to fame for his vocal abilities. He now divides his time between touring and returning to Yekaterinburg to visit family and friends.

Slaughter to Prevail is known for performing at major festivals in Europe and America, often displaying the Russian flag on stage.
