“Bond with a Button,” an indie folk band originating from Neftekamsk, Bashkiria, has gained significant popularity, with their nostalgic songs resonating with millions of fans on social media and earning praise from figures like rapper Basta. The band is currently touring in support of their new album.

The group’s tracks have been streamed over 2.6 million times on Yandex Music. Listeners express that their music evokes strong emotions and memories of childhood.

Ilya Zolotukhin, the band’s leader, formed the group in 2017. The name is a reference to a popular meme and Zolotukhin’s preferred cigarette brand.

The current lineup includes vocalist Ilya Zolotukhin, drummer Damir Mukhamedzhanov, guitarist Nikita Tyabotin, double bassist Ekaterina Nechaeva, pianist Sofya Belyaeva, and backing vocalist Natalia Tsukanova. Zolotukhin and Mukhamedzhanov are the only remaining original members.

Zolotukhin moved to Moscow at 17 and studied to be a “literary worker, translator of fiction” at the Moscow State Institute of Culture.
