A massive fire broke out in Krasnogorsk, near a hospital belonging to the Ministry of Defense, on the evening of May 31st, sending a plume of thick black smoke into the sky. The blaze is located near the Novorizhskoe highway.
The fire has spread across an area exceeding 4,000 square meters. The affected area includes a hangar, two outbuildings, and a rubber crumb storage area on the property of the Kolesnik production enterprise in the village of Novy, which is part of the Krasnogorsk urban district.
The smoke from the fire was so intense that it was visible from several settlements near the Moscow Ring Road (MKAD) and even from some areas within Moscow itself.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS) has stated that there is no immediate danger to nearby buildings. Currently, 13 pieces of equipment and 45 firefighters are working to contain and extinguish the fire.
This incident follows a previous report of a fire at the Avangard plant in the Kalininsky district of St. Petersburg.
