Moscow street artist Ivan Lebedev, also known as Namer, has been arrested and faces charges related to the rape of minors. The case is currently being handled by the Ostankino Court of Moscow.
Lebedev is suspected of committing the crime as part of a group, engaging in violent sexual acts against minors, and inducing drug use. The charges carry a potential sentence of up to 15 years in prison under Article 131, Part 3, Paragraph a of the Russian Criminal Code.
The investigation alleges that on June 6, Lebedev and another individual induced two minor girls to use drugs before sexually assaulting them. The incidents reportedly took place in a parked car and later in an apartment on Maryina Roshcha Street. Following the alleged assaults, the victims reported the events to the police.
The A.D.E.D. association, with which Lebedev was affiliated, has announced his exclusion from the collective. The association cited the gravity of the charges and previous incidents as the reason for severing ties with Lebedev.
Earlier this year, Lebedev was already facing a criminal case for animal cruelty. In March, he sparked outrage after posting a video online showing him throwing a cat out of a fourth-story window. He claimed his actions were motivated by his favorite football team losing and the cat damaging its litter box.
