Traffic restrictions and public transport alterations will be in effect near Luzhniki Stadium on June 1st and June 6th due to the Russian Cup final and a friendly football match. The Moscow Department of Transport has announced the changes, which are intended to manage the expected increase in traffic.
On June 1st, coinciding with the Russian Cup Super Final between Moscow CSKA and Rostov, several streets will be closed to traffic starting at different times of the day. From 8:00 AM, the turn from Khamovnichesky Val onto Dovator Street will be unavailable. From 7:00 PM, sections of Savelieva Street, Dovatora Street, 10th Anniversary of October Street, 3rd Frunzenskaya Street, Efremova Street, and Trubetskaya Street will be closed. Additionally, driving will be prohibited along sections of Projected Passage No. 2309, Kholzunova Lane, and the backup of Komsomolsky Prospekt.
Parking will be prohibited in these areas from 00:01 on June 1st.
Public transport will also be affected. Buses will not stop at the Sportivnaya metro station. Routes m6 and 220 will not head towards the Garden Ring from 7:50 AM, and will be affected in both directions from 6:55 PM. Buses c249, c263, and c755 will not operate on the affected section from 1:00 PM.
Similar road restrictions will be in place on the evening of June 6th, when two football matches will be held, one of which will be a friendly between the Russian and Nigerian national teams.
Changes to public transport operations for June 6th have not yet been announced.
