Kirov Park in Novosibirsk’s Leninsky district has won the public vote for territory improvement in 2026, garnering nearly 30,000 votes. Novosibirsk residents were offered a selection of eight territories across different districts to choose from.

The voting concluded on June 12, and the final results are being tallied. The square near the Kirovsky district administration building on Petukhova Street secured the third position, with just over 20,000 votes.

Sosnovy Bor Park in the Kalininsky district followed closely, claiming the third spot with 19,500 votes. The list of options included both green spaces with existing documentation and those without prior planning, such as Lake Sobachye and the green area on Tvardovsky Street.

According to Evgenia Perova, Deputy Head of the Department for the Improvement of Public Spaces, the authorities are exploring options to incorporate some improvements into the territory that secured second place. Reconstruction of the remaining green areas is planned for a later date.
