Ofelia Dallakyan, a graduate of Lyceum No. 110 in Ekaterinburg, has achieved a perfect score of 100 on the Unified State Exam (USE) in Literature. Dallakyan aspires to attend a theater institute and pursue a career as an actress.
Dallakyan prepared for the exam with her school teacher, without the aid of tutors or online programs. Having previously taken the Basic State Exam (OGE) in literature, she was already familiar with the testing format. She was the only student from Lyceum 110 to achieve a perfect score in literature.
Dallakyan identified the essay portion of the exam as the most challenging. She chose to write on the significance of portrait characteristics and landscape in depicting landowners in Gogol’s “Dead Souls.” Another essay required her to compare a poem with another literary work. She found the exam manageable.
Remembering specific details to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the texts was crucial. This included supporting statements with indirect speech and quotations. Despite the exam being administered in a comfortable environment, she recalled the stress of remembering minute details.
Dallakyan graduated from music school with honors, demonstrating her proficiency in playing the piano. She also possesses unique physical skills, such as the ability to turn her arms inside out.
She also took the USE in social studies as a backup plan, knowing the subject well. Theater institutes often prioritize performance during competitions over USE scores, and additional skills such as singing, plasticity, tap dancing, or juggling can be advantageous.
In the Sverdlovsk region, a total of 103 students achieved perfect scores on the USE this year. Results are currently available for exams in chemistry, literature, history, and specialized mathematics.
Dallakyan is preparing for the complex creative competition required for admission to the theater institute. This includes reciting three poems, three fables, and three prose pieces. She has experience performing in all-Russian and international competitions, but has focused on preparing for auditions in the past two years. She is mentally prepared for possible rejections and views them as part of the process.
