A woman driving a BMW crashed into an entrance and several parked cars in Novosibirsk on Vysotsky Street overnight. A resident reported the incident at house number 41/2.

A fatal accident on the R-255 highway between Moshkovo and Bolotnoye resulted in the death of a Mitsubishi driver. A 22-year-old Lada Priora driver collided with the Mitsubishi while overtaking, causing the Mitsubishi to then hit a JAC car, according to the State Traffic Inspectorate.

Neighbors rescued a child who almost fell from the third floor of a building on Viktor Usa Street in Novosibirsk. A neighbor climbed to the second floor, where another neighbor opened a window, allowing him to reach the child on the balcony and push them back to safety.

Despite safety concerns, large crowds are gathering at Novosibirsk’s city lakes for recreation. People are swimming, diving, grilling, and playing music, with some expressing concerns about landscaping and ongoing work at the locations.

The strawberry and wild strawberry picking season is expected to begin early in the Novosibirsk region due to accelerated plant vegetation. Agronomist Lyudmila Shubina estimates the harvest will be available about 7-10 days ahead of schedule.
