Extensive traffic closures and restrictions are scheduled in St. Petersburg from June 12th to 15th due to various events, including the Scarlet Sails celebration, the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), the Brass Band Festival, the Ekiden athletics competition, and bike races on Krestovsky Island. Motorists should be aware of these disruptions and plan their routes accordingly. Public transport schedules will also be affected.
The most significant closures are related to the Ekiden race on June 15th, which will shut down numerous streets in the city center from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM. These include Kadetskaya and 1st Line V.O., Universitetskaya Embankment, Birzhevaya Square and Proezd, Palace Bridge and Proezd, Admiralteyskaya Embankment and Proezd, Chernomorsky, Azovsky, and Kerchensky Lanes, Admiralteysky Prospekt, Senate and Isaakievskaya Squares, Pochtamsky Lane, and English Embankment.
The Scarlet Sails rehearsal will cause bridge closures on the nights of June 12th and 13th. Blagoveshchensky Bridge will be raised from 9:00 PM to 9:30 PM on June 12th and from 1:50 AM to 2:30 AM on June 13th. Palace and Trinity Bridges will be raised from 9:50 PM on June 12th to 2:15 AM on June 13th.
The Brass Band Festival on June 12th will close Dobrolyubova Prospekt, Mytninskaya Embankment, and Kronverkskaya Embankment from morning to evening.
For SPIEF, Startovaya, Domodedovskaya, and Vnukovskaya Streets will be closed from June 13th to June 22nd. Salova Street will also experience a carriageway narrowing.
Bike races on Krestovsky Island on June 15th will close Severnaya Road, Bodrov Lane, Rowing Canal Embankment, Martynova Embankment, Tennis Alley, Cycling Alley, Football Alley, and Central Alley.
The “T-Dvor” festival will close Schepyanoy Lane from June 15th to June 24th.
Public transport will operate on a modified schedule, with ground transport following a Sunday schedule from June 12th to 15th. The metro will operate on a Saturday schedule on June 12th and a Sunday schedule from June 13th to 15th.
