Yekaterinburg residents are taking advantage of the summer weather, which has brought record-breaking temperatures to the region.
On June 11, the average daily temperature in Yekaterinburg reached +26.5 degrees Celsius, exceeding the norm by 10.3 degrees.
The maximum temperature recorded on that day was +31.2 degrees Celsius.
Tavda was the hottest location in the Sverdlovsk region, with a temperature of +33.2 degrees Celsius, closely followed by Ivdel at +33.1 degrees Celsius.
However, a cold atmospheric front is expected to arrive in the Sverdlovsk region today, June 12.
Forecasters had previously provided a detailed weather outlook for the holidays and the entire month of June. Information has been released regarding safe swimming and sunbathing locations within Yekaterinburg, as well as a list of bodies of water where swimming is prohibited due to health risks.
