Exit 11 of the “Ploshchad Revolyutsii” metro station on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line in Moscow will be closed for eight months starting June 16th. The closure affects the exit leading to Bogoyavlensky Pereulok.
Passengers are advised to use the adjacent exit number 10, which provides access to the “Teatralnaya” station on the green line.
The Moscow Department of Transport attributes the closure to construction work near the vestibule.
While the specific nature of the construction was not disclosed, exit 11 is located within the building of the former “Chizhikovsky Podvorye”, where the Nicole premium residential complex is currently under construction.
The Department of Transport also announced plans to renovate the vestibule of the “Ploshchad Revolyutsii” metro station during the closure.
According to the “Moscow Metro” state purchase schedule, a tender has been issued for the project and restoration of the station, with an initial contract price of 474.9 million rubles.
Restoration work has also commenced at the “Belorusskaya” station of the Circle Line, focusing on the columns located on the platform. The initial contract price for this project is 1 billion rubles.
