Three children were injured in a drone attack in the village of Maryino, Rylsky district, in the Kursk region on the evening of June 10. The acting Governor of the Kursk region, Alexander Khinshtein, reported the incident on June 11.
The attack also caused damage to several buildings in the village. The Maryino House of Culture and the Maryino sanatorium sustained damage, including broken glazing. The sports hall in the House of Culture was destroyed. Windows were also broken in the elementary school and one private home.
A 7-year-old girl sustained a mine-explosive injury, a closed head injury, a shrapnel wound to the face, and a bruised knee. A 9-year-old boy suffered injuries to his leg and right pinky. A 13-year-old boy sustained bruises to the soft tissues of his legs.
The injured children were promptly examined by doctors and then transported to the Kursk Regional Hospital. According to Khinshtein, their lives and health are not in danger.
The Ministry of Defense reported that air defense forces destroyed eight drones in the Kursk region between 8:00 p.m. on June 10 and 7:00 a.m. on June 11. A total of 32 UAVs were shot down across the country, with 16 of those over the Voronezh region. There have been no reports of serious consequences from other regions.
