A 22-year-old passenger died following a collision between a Toyota Corolla and a Mercedes-Benz minibus on the road connecting Akademgorodok and Koltsovo in the Novosibirsk region. The accident occurred at approximately 6:45 AM on June 11.

The State Traffic Inspectorate for the Novosibirsk Region reports that a 23-year-old driver of the Toyota Corolla was traveling from Novosibirsk towards Koltsovo when, according to preliminary information, he entered the oncoming lane at the second kilometer of the road. This resulted in a collision with the Mercedes-Benz minibus, driven by a 63-year-old man.

The impact of the collision caused the minibus to overturn. The 22-year-old passenger in the Toyota Corolla died at the scene. The driver of the Mercedes-Benz minibus sustained various injuries.

Traffic police officers and an investigative team are currently at the scene working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

Separately, a fatal accident in Slavgorod in the Altai Territory on the night of June 10 resulted in three deaths.
